Master Promissory Note and Entrance Counseling

Master Promissory Note and Entrance Counseling

Students awarded a Federal Perkins Loan from the UO for the first time must complete three steps in order to receive the loan; sign a Master Promissory Note, acknowledge disclosure documents and complete Entrance Counseling. Your financial aid award notification will indicate whether you have been awarded a Federal Perkins loan. Once you have received your aid offer and accepted the Perkins loan through Duckweb, you will be able to electronically sign your Master Promissory Note, acknowledge disclosures and complete the Entrance Counseling using an electronic signature. You will also have the option to print your Master Promissory Note, complete and sign the document and return it to the UO Perkins Loans Department.

For each new academic year that starts fall term, first time Perkins borrowers will be able to acess their documents on the Heartland-ECSI website in mid-July.

If you print the Master Promissory Note (either to complete/sign and mail or to have a copy of your electronic promissory note) please disable any pop up blocking software you are using. Master Promissory Notes, disclosure documents and Entrance Counseling are available to students at http://www.ecsi.net/tpp/student_prom.html. Please contact ECSI at (888) 549-3274 or the UO Loans & Collections Department at (541)346-3171 with any questions regarding this process.
