Garnishments

Garnishments - are legal orders instructing an employer to withhold pay from an employee's wages to satisfy a creditor or tax debt incurred by the employee.

All garnishments must be processed by the Payroll Office. If a campus department receives an order, it should be forwarded to the Payroll Office as soon as possible. There are specific timelines that the university has to adhere to in order to be compliant.
