This employee family consists of Academic employees and Officers of Administration. The appointment authority for Academic employees is the Provost Office and for Officers of Administration, the appropriate VP. - Graduate
This employee class consists of UO graduate students whose employment is governed by the terms and conditions of the (GTFF) Graduate Teaching Fellows Federation collective bargaining agreement. The appointment authority for GE appointments is the Graduate School. - Student
This employee class consists of students enrolled at the University of Oregon or other approved institution. Students are hourly employees who work a mid-month to mid-month schedule and are paid on a lag payroll. Payday is the last working day of the month. - Temporary
Temporary classified employees may be hired on campus to fill emergency, non-recurring, short-term work not to exceed 1040 hours in a one-year period. They are hourly employees paid on a mid-month to mid-month pay schedule and are paid on a lag payroll. - Unpaid
Unpaid appointment types are based on the different affiliations individuals have with the university, and include retirees, emeritus faculty, campus associate organizations members, visiting faculty, and visiting researchers. - Work Study
